Innovation Demonstration

Your innovation has been selected for demonstrating at MSF Scientific Days International (London) 2020. Congratulations! This means that you will be provided with space to set up your demonstration and you will also be given the opportunity to give a 1 minute - 1 slide turbo talk to the conference.

Please make sure that you follow the instructions below carefully to ensure that you are ready for 14  May.

The event will be held at the Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London, W1G 0AE.

Demonstrator Information

Complete this form to tell us who will be attending on the day. If there will only be one of you attending please nominate a back up presenter in case of travel/visa difficulties. If there will be two of you attending, please use the 'back up presenter' fields in the form to nominate the second presenter and add '2nd' before their first name.

We will automatically register the demonstrators for attendance at day 2 of the conference, but if you would also like to attend day 1 (medical research day) you will need to register yourself for that day when registration opens at the beginning of March. Any other team members will also need to register themselves when registration opens.

Visa applications

If the demonstrator(s) will require a visa to enter the UK (please note that the UK is not in the Schengen area) please complete this form for your letter of invitation. Do this as soon as possible as visas can take a long time to be granted. Please complete a separate form for each demonstrator.

The following workshops will take place around MSF Scientific Days International. If you would like to attend any of them apply here.

Data Analytics: 11 & 12 May | All Day - Apply Here

This course is aimed at MSF staff whose daily work involves analysis and reporting of epidemiological data (beyond the routine data collection and monitoring systems) especially in outbreak response.

This two-day short course, co-organised by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and MSF, will provide an introduction to epidemiological analysis using the R and R Studio software. Participants will get an introduction and overview of conducting outbreak epidemiological analyses in R and will gain practical experience of packages for data analysis using examples from contexts in which MSF works.

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience of statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of data manipulation in Excel
  • Basic understanding of outbreak epidemiology
  • Participants will need to bring their own laptop with administrator access.

Please note that places are limited and we will let you know as soon as possible if your application has been successful.
