Trying to meet health needs of a million extra people in Pakistan

In the women’s ward of Mardan Medical Complex, a displaced mother from Swat sits on a bed with her three-month-old baby. The boy weighs only 1.8 kg and is limp in her arms. The hospital in Mardan had to refer the baby to the MSF-managed ward in the Mardan Medical Complex.
