Hello, I'm Dr Javid Abdelmoneim. I'm an MSF doctor and I have just come back from northern Syria where I was working in one of our trauma stabilisation posts.

It's effectively a small A&E, and I was dealing with patients who have suffered mine blast injuries, but maternity patients and people suffering from complications of chronic diseases like diabetes, thalassemia, and strokes.

"In all my years with MSF, I’ve seen nothing more impressive than the work of that clinic in Raqqa"

If you are considering supporting MSF's work in Syria, I'd like to take a moment just to say thank you so much in helping us do what we need to do in Syria and for Syrians around the world.

If you've been giving money, if you've been giving time, if you've been giving us encouragement, thank you so much. It is felt deeply and is something for which I will always be grateful. Thank you.
