Nigeria | One year since Rann bombing

One year ago, on 17 of January 2017, tragedy struck the town of Rann in northeast Nigeria.

Over 90 people died, including nine aid workers. At least 170 were wounded.

This is the story of Babagana Jugunu, who was injured in the bombing.

“This large-scale attack on vulnerable people who have already fled from extreme violence is shocking and unacceptable,” said Dr Jean-Clément Cabrol, MSF Director of Operations, at the time.
