Human Resources
Our Human Resources Department deals with the recruitment and selection of all field staff, including placement on field projects, learning and development and reward. This department also deals with human resource management for our UK and Ireland offices.

Liz Crawford, Field Human Resources Co-ordinator
Liz has overall responsibility for Human Resources Management concerning UK field staff. She supports and advises the field HR team in the UK office.
Brigitte Daubeny, Human Resources Officer
Brigitte is responsible for recruiting and placing medical volunteers (medical doctors, surgeons and anaesthetists), epidemiologists, and all co-ordinators.
Marleen Deerenberg, Pool Manager
Marleen is a human resources officer and has worked with MSF as a logistician and financial controller in the field. She is responsible for the management of specialist professional pools.
Claire Schultz, Human Resources Officer
Claire is responsible for recruiting and placing paramedical volunteers (nurses, midwives, biomedical scientists, mental health officers, nutritionists, pharmacists etc), logisticians and water and sanitation specialists.
Argyris Georgopoulos, Learning and Development Officer
Argyris is responsible for all Learning and Development activities for all field staff.
Ineke Tjisma, Expat Support Officer
Ineke works alongside Brigitte Daubeny, looking after field volunteers.
Fethi Salah, Expat Support Officer
Fethi works alongside Claire Schultz looking after field volunteers.
Catherine Elliott, Human Resources Officer
Catherine supports Katherine Galliano on HR matters in the MSF UK Office.
Beverly Gurevitz, Human Resources Officer
Beverly deals with compensation and benefits for both office staff and field volunteers. She is the first point of contact for all matters regarding payroll, pension, holidays, insurance, compensation and benefits.
Katherine Galliano, Head of Human Resources
Katherine has overall responsibility for Human Resource Management in the UK office. She advises and supports the UK Management Team and Board on HR matters.
Fundraising
Our Fundraising team raises money from private individuals to support our medical aid work around the world. These donations enable us to respond quickly to emergencies and keep MSF's work independent of political interests.

Programmes Unit
The Programmes Unit provides non-medical support to MSF's field operations. The Unit acts as a link between MSF and the British, Irish and Jersey Governments as well as UK-based NGOs, academic institutions and research centres.
Responding to issues MSF encounters in its projects, the Unit undertakes thematic work. Current topics include: exit strategies; health policy and financing; national staff; political Islam; UN reforms.
Each member of the Programmes Unit is an experienced aid-worker, and spends some time each year working in MSF projects.

Manson Unit (UK Medical Unit)
The Manson Unit was set up in 2003 to provide direct medical support to MSF field programmes. Current areas of engagement include tuberculosis, nutrition, epidemiology and supporting evidence-based decision-making. The unit is also responsible for organizing the annual MSF-UK Scientific Day, and seeks to engage with the larger medical-humanitarian community here in the UK.
