MSF UK Association – who can become a member?

MSF field staff, office staff and office volunteers who agree and adhere to the MSF charter may join after they have worked with MSF for six months.

How to join

  • A completed application and standing order form for the membership fee should be sent to the Association Coordinator.

  • The Association Coordinator verifies the applicant’s MSF work history.

  • In case there are any objections by members to an MSFers' membership, the Association Coordinator will investigate and present the case to the Board for a decision*.

  • Association members pay an annual fee of £10 or €15. If the membership fee would cause undue hardship, a waiver can be granted by contacting the Association Coordinator.

There are two classes of membership:

'Members of the company' whose right vote is enshrined in UK law, and 'Associative members' who engage in all associative activities but are not entitled to vote. 'Associative members' are members who are working in the London or Dublin office (both salaried staff and volunteers). 'Associative members' can opt to become 'members of the company' when they leave either the London or Dublin offices.
