Caught in Congo

On 2nd July 2010, a fuel tanker crashed and exploded in Sange, Congo (DRC). 269 people were killed and countless injured. Photographer Sarah Elliott made this photo report of the treatment of victims MSF is supporting.

"What a change!" Improving medical care for mothers and babies in Colombia

MSF has worked in the maternity ward of San Francisco de Asis Hospital, Quibdo, since 2005. Over a five year period, with investment in infrastructure, equipment and constant training of staff, the number of deliveries increased from 1,000 to over 2,500 per year and the maternal death rate decreased 5 times. In May 2010, MSF ends its presence in the maternity ward, but the services continue with the dedicated hospital staff.

Treating drug resistant TB in Armenia

Haiti: Providing tents to earthquake victims
