Médecins Sans Frontières (pronounced Medsan-song-Fronti-air) means ‘Doctors Without Borders’. We are the world’s leading independent medical humanitarian aid organisation working in over 60 countries around the world. We provide emergency medical aid in countries affected by war, natural disasters, or disease. We care for the most vulnerable people and those often forgotten by others. Our teams in the field often witness the result of war, neglect and disaster which escape international attention. We believe in speaking out about these crises in order to alert the public to the suffering of the people we help.

Médecins Sans Frontières is an international organisation with 19 offices worldwide. MSF UK was established in London in 1992 and our Dublin office opened in 2005. We support field missions through:

  • fundraising

  • recruiting doctors, nurses and engineers

  • raising awareness of MSF in the UK

  • providing specialist medical advice to the field
