Payroll giving to MSF

A simple tax-effective way to make regular donations to MSF is through your payroll.

Payroll giving allows you to make a donation to MSF directly from your gross salary. The amount of income tax deducted from your salary is then reduced giving you immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated.

Providing that your employer offers Payroll Giving it could not be simpler to set up. All you need to do is complete a form, which can usually be obtained from your Payroll Department or Human Resources. Your employer will then deduct the total amount you want to give from your pre-tax salary, which will be passed to MSF through a Payroll Giving Agency.

Please speak to your payroll department to find out if they offer this scheme. If your employer does not already have a Payroll Giving scheme in place, it is quick and easy to set up. Employers simply need to sign a contract with a Payroll Giving Agency, which is a legal requirement and provides an audit trail for HM Revenue and Customs as you are receiving tax relief on your gift.

Your Employer can call the Payroll Giving Centre on 0845 602 6786 or visit their website at http://www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk/ for guidance or to be put in touch with a Payroll Giving Agency.
