Requirements
Formal education and post qualification in one of the following:
- Clinical Psychology
- Counselling Psychology
- Health Psychology
- Community Psychiatric Nursing (with additional psychological therapy qualification)
- Social work (with additional psychological therapy qualification)
- Psychiatry (with additional psychological therapy qualification)
Basic requirements:
- Available for a minimum of 9 months
- Minimum of 3 months' travel or work experience in developing countries
- Willing to work in unstable areas
- Adaptable and able to work in a team
- Flexible and able to manage stress
Demonstrable experience in:
- Teaching and training
- Managing teams
- The clinical supervision of others
- Treating trauma related problems
Desirable:
- A working understanding of psychiatric medication
- Experience working in the field of HIV/AIDS/TB care
- Experience working with the survivors of sexual violence
- A second language (preferably French, Arabic, Spanish or Portuguese)
