Requirements:
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology or a degree in Microbiology with applied medical parasitology and bacteriology
- Proven knowledge of STD’s, virology, Tuberculosis, blood bank, malaria, HIV
- Knowledge and ability required in the techniques of sample taking (blood, stool, sputum)
- Knowledge of laboratory testing quality control methods
- Available for a minimum of 9 months
- Minimum of 3 months' travel or work experience in developing countries
- Willing to work in unstable areas
- Adaptable and able to work in a team
- Flexible and able to manage stress
- Able to provide training and supervision to others
Desirable:
- Experience in using laboratory software packages and carrying out surveys
