Video: Refugees from Ivory Coast in Liberia

Date Published: 25/03/2011 02:25

Since the post-electoral crisis in Ivory Coast degenerated into confrontations, tens of thousands of Ivorians have taken refuge in Liberia. The great majority of them are living with host families, scattered over more than 70 villages. Many of the others are staying in camps along the border. MSF teams are providing care to refugees in Liberia through mobile clinics, medical screenings in transit camps and at a health post in a camp set up for 15,000 people. In Ivory Coast teams are working in the western part of the country and in Abidjan.

The video below looks at the current situation in Liberia for the Ivorian refugees, while an update on MSF's latest activities and the situation in Ivory Coast itself can be found here.
