Email scams and hoaxes

Unfortunately, some of our supporters have been receiving scam emails claiming to want to reimburse donations. This is not an MSF communication - someone is using our name to try to con the public into giving their details. Thank you to those supporters who have contacted us to let us know about this.

Do not reply to these emails, please forward them to webmaster@london.msf.org or ring our web editor on 0207 067 4253.

How can you tell which emails are fake?

Emails from MSF UK will always end with @london.msf.org or @msf.org. If the email is in any way different to this, it is likely that it is a scam.

Unfortunately, it is possible for scammers to disguise their emails with @london.msf.org or @msf.org as well. If you receive an email with these endings that you are suspicious of, especially if it asks you for personal details or directs you to an unknown website, please contact us and we will follow it up.

Sometimes the emails the scammers are sending include real names and contact details of MSF staff, so please do check the address they are coming from.

MSF does not exchange or sell your personal details in any way.
