Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) are proud to unveil a very special charity event at a groundbreaking new street art gallery, West Bank London.
Housed in a cavernous three-floor, Grade II listed, former bank in Westbourne Grove – this show will bring together interactive installations (including a cholera treatment centre as used in Haiti), live music, photo exhibitions and live graffiti.
Interactive exhibition
This unique free entry event will showcase the breadth of MSF’s innovative Glastonbury Festival 2011 project, where the international humanitarian aid organisation will unveil an interactive experience like nothing ever seen before from a charity at a UK festival.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience MSF’s pioneering cholera treatment centre (CTC) for the first time in the UK, as used in the field in Haiti where the CTC is a crucial feature in MSF’s frontline operations.
Music, art and MSF staff
Captivating photo exhibitions of MSF’s work in Haiti will adorn the walls of the breathtaking gallery. Visitors will also have the unique opportunity to hear from, and talk to, MSF staff about their experiences on the frontline.
Performances from outstanding spoken word, folk and hip hop artists – curated by our Glastonbury partners and live music aficionados Lyrix Organix – will bewitch all those who enter.
Live graffiti
Meanwhile, live graffiti from top street artists from West Bank London will take place in the courtyard, painting the backdrop canvas that will feature at our Glastonbury venue.
This will be an informal, intimate and exciting opportunity to experience Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders like you’ve never seen before.
